About Wira Transplant Malaysia
Wira Transplant Malaysia is a patient-led non-profit advocacy group dedicated to improving the lives of transplant patients and raising awareness about organ donation across Malaysia. It was initiated by the Rotary Club of Melawati and founded by transplant patients and supporters. Our mission is to bridge the gaps between patients, donors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals through support, education, and community engagement.
Mission & Objectives
- Raise awareness about the importance and life-changing impact of organ transplantation in Malaysian communities.
- Provide emotional, informational, and financial support to donors, recipients, and their families.
- Support healthcare professionals through advocacy and collaboration with medical organizations.
- Host events such as the Monthly “Transplant Awareness Walk” and community outreach programmes to connect, educate, and inspire.
- Enable wider public involvement — from rural areas to urban centres — to promote organ donation awareness and dispel myths, especially in religious and cultural contexts where misconceptions persist.

2026 Mount Kinabalu Expedition for Organ Transplant Awareness
On 7–8 May 2026, dialysis patients, transplant recipients, donors, doctors, surgeons, and supporters will join forces to scale Mount Kinabalu, raising awareness and inspiring action for organ donation in Malaysia.
Monthly Transplant Awareness Walk
Since March 2023, our monthly walks have brought together patients, donors, doctors, surgeons, and supporters in various cities. These walks create a friendly platform for community interaction, Q&A sessions, and increased awareness about transplantation.

Kuala Lumpur
Taman Tasik Titiwangsa (near Helipad), 7:30 am, last Sunday of the month.
Penang
Penang Japanese Garden, Penang Island, 7:30 am, 2nd Sunday of the month.
Sabah
Taman Rimba Tropika, Kota Kinabalu, 7:00 am, 2nd Sunday of the month.
Terengganu
